I have exciting news to share with you! Recently I was asked (for the first time) to speak at a travel conference. Fellow Canadian reward points enthusiast Ricky Zhang of The Prince of Travel is hosting The Travel Summit in Toronto and you’re invited! Read on for the who, what, when, where, and why you’ll want to add this travel event to your calendar this year. Pssst..there’s even a discount for you!

What is The Travel Summit?

This conference is the quickest way to learn how to bring your travel skills and experiences to the next level. What does that mean? If you’re like me and you love travel and refuse to pay full price for flights (especially in 2022 and the exhorbitantly priced “revenge travel” summer), then you want to join the points and miles “game”. At The Travel Summit in Toronto, you’ll learn from the experts how Canadians can earn a ton of travel rewards, as well as how to properly redeem them. There will be keynote speakers, networking opportunities, prizes, provided lunches, recordings of the event, and more.

Where and When is the Conference?

This year’s Travel Summit is in one of my favourite cities, Toronto, Ontario! The conference is being held downtown at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Front Street and is close by to many other enticing things to see, do, and eat. I would highly suggest adding a couple of days to either side of the conference to enjoy more of what Toronto has to offer, such as neighbourhoods like Liberty Village, the best bicycle tours in the 6ix, the only full-sized castle in North America, and many arts, culture, and food attractions.

The conference will take place over 2 days on Saturday, October 29th and Sunday, October 30th, 2022.

Who Else is Speaking at The Travel Summit in Toronto?

Some of the other speakers include my friends and colleagues, Andrew d’Amours from Flytrippers, Josh Greenberg from Prince of Travel, and of course, Ricky Zhang who is the Prince of Travel himself! To see who else is speaking at the conference, visit the Speaker page.

How to Get Your Ticket

Whether you’re a complete newbie or a more advanced travel hacker in Canada, this conference will have options for you to learn and mingle among fellow travellers. General admission pricing for the event will be $399 (CAD), including a full day of speaking panels and a lunch included on both days. Visit The Travel Summit website via this link or use the affiliate code, TRAVELWITHTMC, to receive a $50 (CAD) discount.

Giving Back & Prizes

Miles4Migrants is the official Charity Partner at The Travel Summit in Toronto. This organization is amazing. They use donated frequent flyer miles, credit card points, and cash to help people impacted by war, persecution, or natural disaster reunite with loved ones and start new lives.

Attendees who purchase their Travel Summit ticket by June 30, 2022 will be entered to win a draw prize for a $500 Air Canada gift card!

Conclusion

If you’re a Canadian and interested in paying yourself to travel, learning more about points and miles, and meeting fellow travellers, this is a conference you’ll probably want to put on the calendar. There will be keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and lots of time to be able to network with the other attendees. The Travel Summit in Toronto is the best place to learn how to take your travel to the next level. You’ll learn how to maximize travel reward programs so you can travel like me – by never paying full price for a ticket again! Actually, the conference will take things one step further as well since they’ll also be discussing how to leverage points and miles to fly in Business and First Class.

I’m super excited to be a part of The Travel Summit in Toronto, to be included with the fantastic lineup of speakers, and to share this wonderful city with all of you. If you have any questions about the event, send me a DM or reach out to the team at The Prince of Travel. They’ve got a great event planned and I can’t wait to see you there.
